On Page SEO

On page or On site optimization is refers to a SEO process which take place within the web pages. It is the process of making web pages clear and easy for bots to access. On-page SEO refers to anything you can do on a page to improve its ranking. Its primary goal is to assist Google and searchers in better understanding and digesting your content. On-page SEO assists search engines in analyzing your website and the content associated with it in order to determine if a searcher's query is relevant to your site. In on page optimization we mainly focus on the metatags, URL, title tags etc...,

Google first crawls the URL of the web page. It will give a small hint about the webpage. After that, Google crawls the title , meta description, and body content , it will give a full idea of the web page.

A snippet is a single or brief description of a search result that includes the title and URL. When we search for a website's brand name or keyword, we can see subpages or inner links, as well as page side links.

Elements of on-page SEO

Elements of on-page SEO include:

1)Title Optimization

The title is the main thing that is used to identify a webpage, so it must be a meaningful and impressive title. By adding a focus keyword, you keep the title as a meaning-full sentence. If the title is attractive, then the change of CTR(clickthrough rate) is high and it will affect the ranking of the webpage. The following factors are considered during title optimization: in the title, do not use full capital or full small letters, the title can only be 55-60 characters long; and the pixel width cannot exceed 512 pixels. There should be no grammatical or spelling mistakes while we give a title. The Google search bar has a capacity of 70 characters. If we exceed the characters and pixel size, it will be considered oversized and it is very unattractive to the viewers. Every title on every page must be unique, or else there is a risk of title duplication. There must be more than 3 words in a title with a focusing keyword.

  2)Meta Description

One of the most important aspects of the meta description is the addition of high-quality content. As a result, the meta description must be appealing and contain focusing keywords. If Google determines that our meta description is unsatisfactory or irrelevant, it will choose the h1 or h2 tag titles as the meta description. There should be no grammatical or spelling mistakes. The character limit for a blog's meta description is 155 (including the published date, which is also shown by Google in the snippet ), while it is 155-160 characters for web pages. In the Meta Description, we can add interesting features (like discount offers if the website is related to any products) to reduce the Bounce Rate of the website. The Meta Description must be unique from other sites, and it will help increase the CTR. We can be able to give a command to the Google bots which come to index or follow a page by adding Robot meta tags.
Robot meta tags is a section of  HTML code placed in the <head> section of a web page that controls how search engines crawl and index the URL

 3)Body Section Optimization

The most important and visible part of the body section is the h1 tags. As a result, it must be appealing, and the focusing keywords must be relevant and meaningful without any spelling or grammatical mistakes. h1 tags can have 7-8 words by including matching key words. When optimizing a page, only one h1 tag is best. If we add more than one h1 tag, it will be very confusing and not easy to crawl, so it will be added to the sandbox. The sandbox is a place where when confusing data occurs on a page, Google stores it in the sandbox as a temporary file. While h2 is also an important tag in the body section, in the absence of h1 tags, Google will display h2 tags as the main heading in the snippet. So h2 must be a meaningful sentence Google will analyze h3 and h4 tags after the h2 tag. All of these tags must be relevant to the content.

4)Anchor Text Optimization

The Anchor text is a visible, clickable text in the HTML hyperlink. Usage of anchor text will fuel the crawling process. Anchor text will help to gain trust in the website. We didn't give a link on our focus keyword because it will work as a recommendation for other websites and it will reduce our ranking.

5)Keyword Optimization

Keyword optimization is the process of researching, analyzing, and selecting the best keywords to target in order to drive qualified traffic to your website from search engines. The occurrence of the focusing keyword at the top of the content will help the users identify the topic of the page. The number of times a keyword appears on a web page is referred to as keyword density. Focusing keywords are made bold and used before a comma or a full stop. It will increase ranking but it will not be accepted by Google. But this kind of practice will reduce the bounce rate.

6)Image Optimization

The image must be related to the content. In image optimization, we mainly focus on the alt name and file name. In the case of file name, we didn't give any space between the words(if there are two words), we gave a hyphen instead of space (eg: file-name.png). The alt name must be related to the content.
