Search Console and its Verification Methods

Google Search Console

A basic tool for SEO is Search Console. We can use it to optimize website visibility and to check indexing status, search queries, and crawling errors. It'll serve as a channel of communication between the user and Google. Google can detect any mistakes and errors on the website using this tool. We can check to see if the meta descriptions we used were duplicates or exceeded using the search console.

The search console is a mock point in Google's eyes. Broken links, crawling issues, loading issues, and other problems are all identified, and it also enables us to concentrate on a particular nation, audience, or language. It also helps us to identify issues with device compatibility, mobile compatibility, and browser compatibility.

We use Sitemap, an xml file that contains all of the related URLs of that webpage, as part of SEO. A sitemap is a file that details the pages, videos, and other files on your website as well as the connections between them. Search engines like Google read this file in order to more effectively crawl your website. A site map makes it simpler for Google to crawl a website. The sitemap has a 50000 URL limit. Additionally, a sitemap's maximum file size is 10 MB. The sitemap also identifies the zip file. XML documents are simpler for Google to comprehend than HTML documents.

There are five verification methods in search console. They are:

Verification Methods

1)HTML File Verification Method

The method that is most notified is HTML file verification. If the meta tag, template, analytics, or designs are modified, there won't be any significant problems. This technique requires you to upload an HTML file to the root directory of your website.

step1: Download the verification file
step2: submit the file
step3: click  the Google Search Console's verify button.

2)HTML Meta Tag Verification Method

Before verification, the search console will supply a Meta tag; you must copy it and paste it in the HTML file's Head section.

3)Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a platform that tracks and reports website traffic under the Google Marketing Platform. Google Analytics is a web analytics service.  The information about the users who visit our website is provided to us by Google as a free service. The details of our website can be tracked with this. You can check by using the Analytics tracking code.

4)Google Tag Manager

You can add and update your own tags for conversion tracking, site analytics, and remarketing using this method. To validate ownership, the Tag Manager id is used. JavaScript tags called tag managers can be pasted into the body and head sections.

5)Domain Name Provider

A domain name provider is a company that monitors the registration of Internet domain names. Purchase a domain from a registrar, such as Godaddy.com or Namecheap.com. Copy the text from the search console, paste it into the DNS data entry field, and then confirm it.
